Chutneys, Pickles & Jams
I have always had a passion for food & flavours and have enjoyed working in catering for many years.
We are a family run business (especially when it comes to Taste testing!) in rural North Lincolnshire.
We started making Chutneys & Pickles for our christmas cheese board & as presents for family & friends, within no time requests started coming in from their festive guests ………
Gastronomy was born!
We now grow as much as we can on our allotment on the edge of the moors, stand on various markets & events all over Lincolnshire,Nottinghamshire & Yorkshire.
Cant make it to an event or market? Why not call in to one of our local stockists or drop me a message to place an order straight to your door!
– Chutneys –
Spicy Tomato Chutney
Sweet cherry tomatoes paired with spicy birds eye chilli. Try with strong mature cheddar, zing up cheese on toast. I love it to spice up my steak!
Onion and Thyme Chutney
A classic combination, great with beef, venison and cheeses. I like to use it to make that left over roast chicken more interesting.
Blackberry with Ginger Chutney
A flavour packed chutney. Fruity with warming ginger an ideal accompaniment to pate or goats cheese.
A vibrant and sweet celebration of the humble carrot. Great with lamb burgers or sharp cheeses such as wensleydale.
– Pickles –
Pickled Red Cabbage with Orange
Pickled Cucumber and Mint
Pickled Onions with Chilli
– Jams –
Strawberry and Vanilla Jam
Strawberry and vanilla are perfect partners, Think bright sunny july days, wimbledon & picnics. Delicious on a freshly baked scones or my favourite swirl a spoonful or two into a mixture of mascarpone and plain yoghurt for a quick tasty dessert.
Raspberry and Rose Hip Jam
The sweetness of the raspberries and richness of the rose hips makes a little jar of heaven! A perfect breakfast jam, on toast, waffles, or pancakes. But I recommend a pot to compliment the stilton on your cheese board.
Apple and Cinnamon Jam
This jam reminds me of cosy winter nights, my hubby calls it “christmas in a jar” Lovely on warm crusty bread with a pot of steaming tea or (my dad’s favourite!) spread it on puff pastry roll it, slice it, bake it for an apple and cinnamon swirl.
